Thomas began his political career working as a Field Organizer on the 2014 re-election campaign for Congressman John Garamendi (CA-3). Thomas then joined the political consulting firm, Spafford & Lincoln, where he led a public opinion research team for the Nishi Gateway PAC. Thomas next served as the Deputy Campaign Manager for the Yes on Measure A campaign, where he built and oversaw the campaign’s voter outreach effort. Thomas continued his political career part-time through college, leading an opposition research team for a statewide political action committee, Flip The 14.
After graduating from UC Berkeley, Thomas joined EMC Research, a national polling and data analytics firm, where he supported political campaigns across the country. Most recently, he served as the Data Director for Ty Alper’s successful re-election effort to the Berkeley Unified School District’s Board of Education; a role he reprised for the Berkeley Unified School District’s unified campaign for Measures E, G, and H in 2020.
Patrick's political career began as a Field Organizer with a local land use campaign in Davis. He continued his land use political work in Davis as the Field Director for a student housing project and the Campaign Manager for an innovation park project. He also served as a Deputy Campaign Manager for the Yolo County Democratic Party working on Congressional, State Senate, & State Assembly campaigns simultaneously.
He co-founded Launchpad Project Management, a professional development internship for UC students, and has managed over 650 students interns. Patrick has also worked with Activate America (formerly Flip the West), as a data analyst and Program Director, managing over 230 concurrent interns, campaigning in 6 different US Senate seats. Additionally, he has worked in residential & commercial real estate, as well as development and is a licensed real estate agent.
